This is a comprehensive course which is only taught to advanced students who already have a background in tajweed or have completed book 3 in the Medina series.

The topics and rules that are taught at this level are not covered in the first 3 books of the Medinah series. The topics are taught in more depth in this book and some rules are completely new and not covered prior to this book.

This book is excellent for students who want to excel in their understanding of the tajweed and apply it to their recitation of the Quran and become advanced teachers. Students graduating from this level are expected to have an in depth understanding of all the tajweed rules while applying them to their recitation. This level will take at least a year to complete.

Memorisation

Classes designed for students who would like to memorise the whole Quran or a portion of it. Students can only begin memorisation once they have a strong level of tajweed in their Quran recitation. Examinations for this involve students reciting everything they memorised from the beginning of the year and on a termly basis. The duration for a student to complete the memorisation of the Quran will depend on the student’s memorisation ability.

Memorisation of الزهروين Al Zahrawayn (for sisters)

The memorisation of surah al baqarah and Ali Imran

Reading, memorisation, and explanation of the Tajweed poem المقدمة الجزرية (Al Muqaddimatul Jazariyyah)

Reciting from the poem of imam Muhammad ibn Muhammad al Jazaree which is a concise poem containing just over 100 lines on the overall rules of tajweed in the Quran. This poem can be used to help broaden one's knowledge of tajweed and can be used as a reference point for the rules. This is usually memorised for the ones who wish to attain an ijaza in the memorisation of the Quran. This work is also complemented by تتمات الجزرية which is an addition to the poem from various scholars who also authored works in tajweed.

  • This also involves the reading, explanation and memorization of other known works in the field of tajweed such as المفيد في التجويد and عقيلة الشاطية

Recitation of the whole Quran ختم القرآن

A program for students that would like to recite the whole Quran by book with all the tajweed rules in front of a qualified teacher and receive certification upon successful completion. Students must already be able to recite the Quran with all the tajweed rules as a prerequisite to begin this. This is useful for students who are interested in teaching the Quran.

Examinations

All levels have examinations where students get tested on their recitation and understanding of the tajweed rules at each level. Students must achieve over 75% to progress to the next level. Competency at the end of each level is necessary before advancing to the next level otherwise they will struggle to keep up with the class.
